A real estate businessman was kidnapped on Tuesday morning, in front of the Homecenter store on Av. de Angola, in Maputo City. Information obtained by MZNews indicates that it was Hussein, one of the sons of the owner of that commercial establishment.
Sources heard by some news agencies, told that the victim's vehicle was blocked from the rear by another car of the kidnappers, around 10 am, when the businessman was arriving at work.
The robbers, whose number was not revealed, were armed with AKM-type firearms and, using force, some of them removed the businessman from his vehicle. At the same moment, another kidnapper forced the store's guard and a customer to surrender by pointing a gun at them.
The motives for the kidnapping are still unknown, but it is known that the criminals were hiding inside a white car waiting for the businessman.
To clarify the case and identify the kidnappers, the National Criminal Investigation Service and the Police of the Republic of Mozambique went to the scene. The authorities have not yet made any statement about what happened, so the question remains: Who are the kidnappers of the "heir" of Home Center?
