Demonstrations: There will be no fuel shortages for the next 23 days

Manifestações: Não haverá escassez de combustíveis nos próximos 23 dias

There will be no fuel shortages for at least the next 23 days in the country, guarantees the Mozambican Association of Oil Companies (AMEPETROL).

In a statement to which MZNews had access, AMEPETROL says that "at the moment the country has stock for 23 days, so there is no risk of a fuel shortage, apart from the scheduled ships already on their way to the country for refueling."

However, AMEPETROL says it is facing difficulties in operating filling stations and carrying out distribution due to public insecurity, which in turn is limiting operations and causing delays in replenishing products.

"We want to assure the population that we are working actively and in close partnership with the government, public institutions and our service providers," the document reads.

AMEPETROL also says that collaboration has been key to overcoming difficulties and ensuring that fuel reaches everyone who depends on this essential resource safely and efficiently.

AMEPETROL concludes by appealing for non-violence and asks everyone to collaborate, allowing filling stations, tankers and the entire logistics chain involved to carry out their functions without threats and risks.
