Bernardino Rafael assured that the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) is open to accompanying peaceful demonstrations.
The Commander General of the PRM asked the party that supports Venâncio Mondlane not to incite violence.
The PODEMOS party and the PRM met today in the country's capital to clarify aspects of the demonstrations.
During his speech, Bernardino Rafael said that the police are not against demonstrations, but they must be carried out in collaboration with the PRM, so that no public property is damaged.
For his part, the President of the Podemos party said that the demonstrations are not necessary because they show dissatisfaction with injustices in electoral processes.
Albino Forquilha said that the demonstrations that the party he leads has been holding are peaceful and that no acts of vandalism have taken place.
Venâncio Mondlane has been leading a series of nationwide demonstrations against injustices in electoral processes, murders, kidnappings and other ills that ail Mozambican society.
