Petromoc sells 20% of its stake in MIAFS to I2A

Petromoc vende 20% da sua participação na MIAFS à empresa I2A

Petróleos de Moçambique (Petromoc) has sold 20% of its shares in Maputo International Airport Fuelling Services Limitada (MIAFS) to I2A Investimentos e Participações.

According to a Letter from MozambiqueThe transaction was confirmed by the Competition Regulatory Authority (ARC) in a statement.

The document explains that MIAFS is a commercial company whose aim is to operate the hydration line and tanks for the supply of aviation fuel, as well as to design and build fuel storage tanks and provide aircraft refueling services at Maputo International Airport.

According to ARC, prior to this sale, MIAFS was wholly owned by Petromoc, in violation of Competition Law No. 10/2013 of April 11. "Its activities include the management of pipelines and other equipment, the receipt and shipment of aviation fuel to end consumers, as well as the import and export of materials for internal use."

I2A Investimentos e Participações is a commercial company under Mozambican law, owned 100% by national shareholders, focused on the storage and marketing of liquid and solid bulk, and is authorized to distribute petroleum products (fuels) through Distribution License no. 02/19, of 27 February 2019, issued by the National Directorate of Hydrocarbons and Fuels.

In turn, Petromoc is a public limited company, incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Mozambique, and is dedicated to the transportation, distribution, reception, handling, storage, transit, export, re-export, transformation and marketing of petroleum products.
