The exporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of 2021 guarantee to increase production in order to reduce the number of imports and leverage the country's economy.
For those companies that have exported the most to the United States of America and South Africa there is a need to continue to lift the country by exporting in large quantities despite the challenges facing the market.
"This serves as an incentive for us to keep working harder to continue to grow and elevate Mozambique across borders," said one award-winning businesswoman, quoted by RM.
The entrepreneurs were speaking at the launch of the 57th edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM), held last week.
The President of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique-CTA, said that the award is another incentive for companies to stand out in the expansion of exports.
"It is the way we found to recognize the merit of the Micro-SMEs that stood out with the export of their products, in a challenging moment to reduce the trade balance deficit," said, Agostinho Vuma.
The 57th edition of the fair will take place between August 29 and September 4, in a hybrid model, in person and virtual.
