The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, speaks today, at 4 pm, to the Nation, in the context of the Situation of Public Calamity. According to the note of the Presidency of the Republic, in his communication, the Head of State will address the current situation of covid-19 in the country.

The last time the Head of State spoke about the covid-19 situation was on August 13 this year, when the country recorded a cumulative 137,413 infected people, of which 116,945 recovered, 1,690 deaths, and 18,774 active infections.

At the time, Filipe Nyusi said he would talk again about the evolution of covid-19 in 15 days. After 13 days, 7 055 more people became infected and another 13 320 recovered.
