A 22-year-old woman was murdered on Saturday in Odivelas, an upscale neighborhood on the outskirts of Lisbon, Portugal. Mozambique's ambassador to that European country, Stella Pinto Novo Zeca, confirmed the murder of Amara Shakirah Marques Aliz Dias.

Quoted by Radio MozambiqueHe said that after the embassy became aware of the incident, an embassy official was sent to check the case with the police authorities in Odivelas.

At the scene, he was informed that efforts were already underway to clarify the case.

"By that point, a number of hearings had already taken place, both of the neighbors and of the alleged people who were with the victim," he said.

She said that the consulate has already contacted the family of the 22-year-old student and has made itself available to jointly accompany the investigations and provide all the support needed to process the necessary documents.
