The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will support the country in the strengthening of decentralization policies in the provinces of Sofala, Manica and Cabo Delgado.
Indeed, the decentralization for development project, to be implemented over the next four years, was launched this Friday in Pemba in Cabo Delgado province.
According to UNDP representative Cristino Pedraza, the project, valued at around seven million dollars, foresees the realization of several activities that include the establishment of a planning platform.
The socialization seminar of the decentralization for development project counted with the participation of the governor of Cabo Delgado, for whom inclusion, induction, and capacity building of the actors will be fundamental.
The Secretary of State in Cabo Delgado province, António Supeia, who led the ceremony to launch the Project, said that the initiative is one more support to the ongoing efforts, aiming to better serve the citizen.
