Parliament has just given final approval to the Proposed Revision of the Electricity Law.

The instrument provides for the creation of mechanisms for the implementation of the concession award process for the supply of new and renewable energy.

The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Carlos Zacarias, said in Parliament that the revision of the Electricity Law will facilitate the national plan for energy access by 2030.

Carlos Zacarias also made it known that the instrument will allow the creation of an entity that will ensure the process of electric energy transportation and manage grid congestion.
