Passengers scheduled to travel to Mozambique were stranded for two days at Lisbon International Airport in Portugal, creating agony and chaos at the airport.
According to the newspaper "O País", the Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) flight should have left at 7pm on Tuesday (23), but the passengers were only able to board yesterday afternoon.
LAM didn't even inform the passengers who were stranded at Lisbon airport of what was actually happening.
According to the newspaper, the passengers were forced to demonstrate and the response came almost two hours after the flight time, i.e. after 9pm.
LAM has been facing a series of management crises for many years. Not even the government's various interventions have had the desired effect in pulling the national flag carrier out of its crisis.
Some of the 300 passengers revealed that in order to leave Portugal "an alternative flight was needed, which was only available on Thursday afternoon (25).
Meanwhile, Mozambique Airlines has promised to clarify the matter "in due course". (Source: O País)
