The remains of actor Abdul Satar Selemane, better known as Muzaia, who lost his life on Saturday at the age of 42, were buried today in Maputo.

Family members, work colleagues, friends and fans attended Muzaia's wake this Sunday morning at the Chadulia mosque in Maputo city.

The family say that the causes of the actor's death are not yet known, but they suspect hypertension, a disease that had been affecting him for some time.

"So far, we don't know what happened to him, nor do we have any information. Lately, he had problems with hypertension, which meant he didn't work well. When he was recording a soap opera, he had to stop and go to a clinic, but he recovered. Then he returned to recording," said Rachid Suleimane, the actor's father, quoted by "O País".

Work colleagues Sílvia Mendes, Olivia Chaly and Dadivo José describe the actor's early departure as a blow to the world of the arts, as well as to society.

"He was my colleague for over ten years, we did several jobs together. Until yesterday (Friday), we were shooting a soap opera together...he was my direct partner."

It should be noted that the actor has already starred with renowned figures in our country, such as the current Secretary of State for Sport, Gilberto Mendes.

His last television appearance was in the soap opera Maida, broadcast on the Dstv channel Manning Magic.
