The governments of Mozambique and Vietnam today (09) strengthened cooperation in the fields of Mineral Resources and Fisheries and Aquaculture. These are two legal instruments aimed at intensifying bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.
According to a NewsThe instruments were initialed this morning during the working meeting that President Filipe Nyusi held with his Vietnamese counterpart, To Lam, in Hanoi.
On the Mozambican side, the Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Minister, Verónica Macamo, and the Minister for the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, Lídia Cardoso, initialed the agreements in a ceremony attended by the two heads of state.
Mozambique and Vietnam have had diplomatic relations since 1975 and have already signed several agreements in the sectors of the economy, trade, investment, agriculture, fishing, science and technology, telecommunications, health, education and training, culture, security and defense, and finance.
Over the years, the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries have developed positively through numerous high-level visits between their leaders.
