The Minister of Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno, said today, Wednesday (24), in Maputo, at the opening of the Arab Business and Investment Forum in Mozambique, that the country must capture Arab investment opportunities in various socio-economic areas.
According to Silvino Moreno, quoted by Sunday newspaperThe focus of investment is on agriculture, energy, infrastructure, tourism, as well as bankable projects with a focus on the sustainability of industrialization.
For the government, this forum represents an unmissable opportunity for Mozambique to solidify its position as an attractive destination for investments in renewable energies and other strategic sectors.
Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade through the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX), the event brings together around 300 participants, including high-level representatives from the Mozambican government, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, national and Arab businesspeople, financiers and academics, creating an environment conducive to networking and doing business.
The event, which ends tomorrow (25), brings together business leaders, investors and government representatives to explore various investment opportunities and business strategies in the key areas of energy, extractive industry, transportation and logistics, as well as the financial sector.
