Economy Minister encourages IPEME to strengthen support for MSMEs

Ministro da Economia incentiva IPEME a reforçar apoio às MPME’s

The Minister for the Economy, Basílio Muhate, visited the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (IPEME) yesterday and encouraged the institution to strengthen its support for the growth of Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.

The minister was briefed on IPEME's main initiatives and challenges in supporting national entrepreneurship and assured of the Executive's commitment to creating an environment for business development.

"The sustainable growth of our country depends to a large extent on the strength and competitiveness of our Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The government is committed to creating an enabling environment for these companies to thrive and generate more jobs and wealth for Mozambique," he said.

The visit highlights the Executive's commitment to strengthening policies to support the private sector, promoting measures that guarantee inclusive and sustainable development for Mozambican entrepreneurs.
