Access Bank Mozambique announces that Marco Abalroado, Managing Director and Chairman of the Bank's Executive Committee, after more than six years of dedication to Access Bank Mozambique, is stepping down as Managing Director and Chairman of the Bank's Executive Committee for personal reasons.

The Managing Director, Marco Abalroado, played a decisive role in the creation and launch of the Bank in 2019, and in its strategic direction, contributing significantly to its growth and success, and is currently the 8th largest Bank in Mozambique.

The Board of Directors would like to thank Marco Abalroado for his dedication, his commitment to excellence and his leadership skills, which are invaluable to the Bank at a particularly crucial time in the development and growth of Mozambique's economy.

While the process of selecting a new Managing Director is underway, Chiwetalu Obikwelu, the current Deputy Managing Director, will take on the role of Managing Director on an interim basis, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity in the Bank's operations.
