Maputo's borders counted 15,542 people crossing between Thursday and Saturday, most of them returning to South Africa.

The Ressano Garcia border crossing saw the largest influx, with 11,188 people transiting between Mozambique and the neighboring country.

To ensure the flexible transit of people and goods, the migration authorities have activated the pedestrian channel by pass and the single crossing at KM 4.

Migration services staff and equipment have also been reinforced to deal with the influx that characterizes this time of year in good time. (Source: News)
