Luísa Diogo defends clarity and transparency in hiring professionals in the State

The former Prime Minister and economist, Luísa Diogo, defends greater clarity and transparency in the processes of hiring professionals for the various sectors of government in order to combat corruption.

According to Radio Mozambique, Luísa Diogo justifies her position by pointing out that in recent times there have been reports of several cases of corruption and nepotism in the processes of hiring officials perpetrated by senior state leaders.

The former governor was speaking this Wednesday in the district of Chongoene, in Gaza, during a lecture she gave on the subject: "Mozambican financial system and the financing of small and medium enterprises.

For the speaker, forty-seven years after national independence, and Mozambique being a sovereign and democratic state, it makes no sense that some practices of exclusion and divisionism persist in the governing machine, hence the urgent need to take measures to remedy these evils.
