The reading of the sentences of the 19 defendants implicated in the case of undeclared debts, better known as Hidden Debts, is confirmed to begin on November 30 and is expected to last five days, the Maputo City Judicial Court (TJCM) said today.
"The Maputo City Judicial Court makes it public that this case will take place on November 30, at 9am," confirmed the court spokesman, José Macaringue, quoted by Rádio Moçambique a few moments ago.
Macaringue also said that the event will take place in the same venue as the trial of the defendants and the hearing of the declarants, "in the B.O. tent", following the same media broadcasting model.
"And so the broadcast will be live, in the same way that the hearing and trial also took place," said the spokesman, noting that "the reading of sentences will take place over five days".
The Undeclared Debts damaged the State by more than 2.2 billion dollars and the trial of those allegedly involved began on August 23, 2021 and ended in March 2022.
