Graffiti mining begins next year in Nipepe, Niassa

Begins, next year, the exploration and processing of graphite, in the district of Nipepe, Niassa province, with a reserve of more than 5 million tons.

At this moment, reported Rádio Moçambique, DH Mining, the concessionaire of the enterprise, is in the phase of implementing the machinery and building the ore warehouse.

Thirty million dollars are being applied to make the project viable, according to the head of the department of mineral resources and energy in the provincial services of infrastructure, in Niassa, Silvino Bonomar.

"The company is at an advanced stage regarding the installation of its infrastructures, what is the processing plant and the place for storing the material. At this moment, work is also underway to enable the construction of a bridge that will connect the district of Nipepe with the neighboring province of Nampula," he said.
