Inflação situou-se 8,7% nos primeiros nove meses de 2023

The balance of the first nine months of the 2023 Economic and Social Plan and State Budget points to internal macroeconomic stability, with inflation standing at 8.7%, below the 11.5% forecast for the period in question.

"Net international reserves are also sufficient to cover imports in 3.8 months," indicates the government document shared with the press today.

The government also said after the 37th Session of the Council of Ministers that the national economy grew by 4.4%, above the average of the world's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the economies of sub-Saharan Africa.

Also in the same period, the Council of Ministers announced that the current account deficit had been reduced by 1160.0 million dollars.

As for state revenue, the government says that from January to September it reached a net value of 232.547.4 million meticais, corresponding to an increase of 8% compared to last year, standing at 65.1% of the 65 in the annual program.

The government also says that of the 135 indicators programmed for the period, 73.3%, corresponding to 99 indicators, performed well.

State Expenditure was 316.495 billion meticais, corresponding to a realization of 67%.

Also at the same session, the Council of Ministers said it had considered information on the inauguration of the new bridge over the Save River, to be held on November 1, 2023.
