The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, said the government will spare no effort to electrify Mozambique progressively until the goal of universal access to energy is reached in 2030.
Nyusi who was speaking, this Saturday, in Nampula, at the inauguration of the electrification system of the administrative post of Namaponda, Angoche district, said that the electrification of administrative posts, started in 2020 at a national level, is reaching satisfactory and encouraging results.
"With concrete actions like this, we promote investments that pre-potentiate the agro-livestock production, fisheries, tourism and mineral resources, among other activities in a logic of value addition with direct impact on industrialization, trade and the consequent creation of jobs for young people" he said.
According to the President of the Republic, in Nampula, three administrative posts have been energized since 2020. Thus Nampula has 50 of the 70 administrative posts with electricity.
