As I mentioned, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, João Matlombe, quoted by NewsThe measure aims to increase the flow of vehicles in order to maximize gains at the border.
Modernization, he said, would involve building an integrated digital system that would allow effective communication between the migration authorities in Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
The source was speaking this Friday during a visit to the Machipanda border crossing, in Manica, and reaffirmed that the upgrading of this border crossing is part of the measures that could improve the transport system.
"We need high-quality equipment and close collaboration with the Tax Authority to ensure that the state continues to provide goods and services effectively," said Matlombe, adding that speeding up processes will generate more foreign exchange for the country.
It directed the migration and transport authorities to work with the Manica district government to identify a suitable space on National Road Number 6 (N6) to build an integrated and robust road park that could be commissioned to a third party for operation.
