The Ministry of Economy and Finance started this Tuesday with public consultation for the review of the proposed Development Strategy (ENDE) 2020-2042. It is the instrument that can guide the country's development in the period under analysis as well as influence other short, medium and long term planning policies.
In an action that was launched this Wednesday, in Zambezia province, Rosil Tiane, technician, who was speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, said that the aim of the consultation is to guide and articulate the discussions about where Mozambique wants to be in 2042 and the paths to follow in this time path.
According to the representative of the Ministry of Finance, the review of the ENDE will be done in a participatory and inclusive way, based on diagnoses, public consultations, including official documents, studies, surveys, and other reference instruments.
"The ENDE will have a 20-year horizon (2022-2042), and must present itself according to the SISTAFE law no.14/2020. Also, the ENDE will be able to bring the diagnosis of the main indicators of economic and social development of the country, the main challenges that are expected, and the macroeconomic scenario for the next 20 years," annouced the representative of the Ministry of Finance.
