The government intends to continue to mobilize investments for the construction and equipping of logistic infrastructures to guarantee greater efficiency in the transportation of minerals and other products in the country.
The information was advanced this Wednesday, by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Janfar Abdulai, in the inauguration ceremony of the International Railroad Terminal of Mineral Transit, of Ressano Garcia, in the district of Moamba, province of Maputo.
"To make railroads and waterways more competitive, it is necessary to invest in transshipment points at the terminals and develop the interface of fast, easy and dynamic transfers, from one modal to the other, with compensating and competitive costs," he said.
The Ressano Garcia International Railroad Ore Transit Terminal is budgeted at more than $20 million.
