The government assures that it will continue to adopt national policies to ensure the abolition of the worst forms of child labor throughout the country.
The assurance is from the Secretary of State in Niassa province, Dinis Vilanculo, at the opening this Wednesday of the training seminar on the prevention and combat of the worst forms of child labor, taking place in the city of Lichinga, at an initiative of the Attorney General's Office.
Dinis Vilanculo said that for this purpose, the Mozambican government has approved employment policies that provide for the fight against the worst forms of child labor, including the promotion of incentives for children to stay in school in addition to the implementation of the basic social protection strategy.
On the occasion, Deputy Attorney General Irene Uthui pledged the commitment of her institution to continue to guarantee the safety and legal defense of minors, enshrined in the constitution of the Republic.
The event counts with the participation of technicians from the Administration of Justice institutions, the Provincial Justice and Labor services, community leaders, and several other personalities.
