The Gaza Provincial Executive Council proposes a little over 384.88 million meticals for the materialization of the activities of the Economic and Social Plan (PES) for next year.
According to the plan, presented in the IX Ordinary Session of the Provincial Assembly, of this amount, 316.67 million meticais will be channelled to operational expenses and 68.22 million for investments. The personnel expenditure is budgeted at 250 million.
As for the payment of salaries and wages, it is expected to increase by about 32 million, that is, next year the Executive will spend 194.66 million, against 163 million approved for 2022.
The Executive will receive 110 million meticals, the Provincial Assembly 50 million, and about 29 million will be for the Governor's Office.
However, the revenue collection target is 6.07 million meticals, compared to 6.03 million meticals forecast for the year 2022, with a growth of only 0.65 percent.
While in the economic area the overall production is expected to reach 64.740,69 million meticais, 4,57% more than in 2022. These budget limits, according to Governor Margarida Mapandzene Chongo, still do not represent the desirable, but show signs of a slight improvement, taking into account that many provincial directorates in the current year have no budget for investments.
