The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has assured the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, that it will continue to support Mozambique in its development efforts and macroeconomic stability, through financing from the Extended Credit Facility (ECF).
The assurance was given today, Thursday (20), by Pablo Lopez Murphy, head of the IMF delegation, during an audience with the Mozambican Head of State.
"We came to Mozambique as part of the IMF's ECF program in the country. There's a new government in place, so we came here to get to know the government's priorities and to make our contribution to supporting macroeconomic stability," said Murphy, quoted by the IMF. Sunday newspaper.
On the occasion, the head of the IMF delegation stressed the importance of a close partnership with the Mozambican authorities.
