The Road Fund will invest about two million meticais, for routine maintenance of 30 kilometers of roads damaged by heavy rainfall recorded from October last year to last March, in the district of Machaze, in Manica.
The administrator of Machaze, Joana Guinda, said that due to the effects of the rain, some access roads need intervention to ensure the transitability of people and goods and ensure the flow of agricultural products to various points in the region.
Joana Guinda stressed that with the road maintenance, the cost of transportation will be reduced and the economic growth of the Machaze district can be stimulated.
Guinda, argues that the concessionaires of logging licenses are called to participate through their social responsibility, in the maintenance of roads, as it is one of the activities that contributes to its degradation
