The Permanent Secretary of the MCTES (Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education), Nilsa Miquidade, considers that the inspection of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) is still a challenge in the country.

According to Nilsa Miquidade, who was speaking during the closing ceremony for the training of Science, Technology and Higher Education inspectors, in order to achieve the results in full, it is necessary to influence the inspectors' action in their inspection and supervision activity, as well as the appropriation of legal instruments for the supervision of the Institutions.

However, the source urged the training participants to handle matters with the necessary flexibility and speed.

"In order to carry out inspective missions in institutions of higher education and scientific research, technological development and innovation, they need the opinion of the minister in charge," said Nilsa Miquidade.

Meanwhile, as for the lack of resources to carry out inspection missions, it was assumed to be a national challenge as all institutions resent this.
