Filipe Nyusi asks public employees to calm down in the face of TSU irregularities

Filipe Nyusi pede calma aos funcionários públicos face às irregularidades da TSU

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, appealed to public employees to remain calm because their concerns, arising from the application of the Single Wage Table (TSU), are being addressed by the Government, Mozambique Television reported.

The Head of State was speaking yesterday in Sanga, Niassa, before professionals of the local health center, in the context of his visit to this province since yesterday.

Nyusi said that the Single Wage Scale should be faced with normality because it is the will of the Government to solve, in definitive, the model of remuneration of civil servants.

"It has been many years since work was done to level out situations where there are those who are paid more in one sector and less in others. And in a process like this problems arise, but don't be alarmed, because they are being resolved," he said.

He assured that the government is working to avoid imbalances, but that it is a flawed process. "We are not afraid to address the problems, we are aware of all the concerns," he stressed.
