The volume of exports of products during the year just ended amounted to 6.4 million dollars (409.6 million meticais), involving coconut and its derivatives, vegetables, fish, fruit, charcoal, sawn wood and wood parquet.
These achievements correspond to an execution of 71.3 percent, a positive variation of 19.23 percent.
The information is contained in the report on the implementation of the Provincial Executive Council's Economic and Social Plan, presented by the governor of Inhambane, Daniel Chapo, on the occasion of the end of the year.
Cited by the newspaper Notícias, Chapo said that the products were mostly exported to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) market, especially the Republic of South Africa, Asia and Europe.
In Public Finance, revenue collection during the period under review recorded an execution of 36.6 percent, achieving 43.3 million meticais. The overall production growth rate of the Organs of Provincial Decentralized Governance (OGDP) was 5.2 percent, out of a plan of 18.3 percent and a revenue growth rate of 36.6 out of the planned 41.4 percent.
