Estado moçambicano conta com mais cinco mil pensionistas

A total of 5084 citizens, among civilians and military, are now pensioners receiving lifetime incomes from the State, according to data shared yesterday in Maputo at the end of the 23rd Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers.

With this increase, the state increases from just over 226,000 to 231,000 pensioners.

In fact, as stated by the spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Filimão Suaze, this is the sector with the greatest burden for the Mozambican State, which also saw the value of each monthly pension updated by 250.00 meticais.

Meanwhile, as for the Single Wage Table (TSU), which standardizes salaries in the Civil Service, the spokesman for the Council of Ministers said that a press conference will be called in a few days to explain the details of its materialization.

According to the Government's timetable, the TSU should start to be paid as of tomorrow for the workers already integrated in the new rules. As for the others, since this is still a technical work in progress, they will receive it starting with next month's salary, with retroactive effects.
