Severe natural disasters continue to suffocate economic agents in Niassa

The Niassa Business Council says severe natural events such as depressions, cyclones, floods and inundations, covid-19 and terrorism continue to stifle economic actors in the province.

The statement is from the president of the Niassa provincial business council, Inocêncio Sotomane.

Cited by Radio Mozambique, Sotomane pointed out as another challenge of the business sector, the current Russia/Ukraine war, whose impact is being felt worldwide.

The businessman said that these factors combined, are requiring the business community to redouble its efforts to mitigate them in a time of global recession.

For his part, the Secretary of State in Niassa, Dinis Vilanculo, encourages the business class to make the time of restriction of some covid-19 prevention measures, an opportunity to revive their economies.
