Council of Ministers approves proposal for revision of the Foreign Exchange Law

The Council of Ministers approved this Tuesday the proposal for revision of the Foreign Exchange Law, to be submitted to Parliament.

The proposed law aims to adjust the current legal regime, to the country's current stage of economic growth, with the objective of reducing bureaucracy in carrying out foreign exchange operations, making the market increasingly faster and in line with technological changes.

Meeting in its fourteenth session, the Council of Ministers also appreciated information on the process of return of displaced persons to the districts affected by terrorism in Cabo Delgado province.

In Tuesday's session, the government also analyzed the cholera situation in the provinces of Sofala and Zambezia and the measles situation in the provinces of Tete and Niassa, as well as the measures agreed upon as part of the program resumption with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
