The Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip caused an estimated 18.5 billion dollars in damage to critical infrastructure between October 7 and the end of January, according to a report released yesterday.

This figure, calculated in a joint study by the World Bank (WB), the UN and the European Union (EU), is the first estimate of the effects of the bombardments and ground fighting carried out in the first three and a half months of the war in the Palestinian territory.

This figure, according to the document quoted by Notícias ao Minuto, corresponds to 97% of the Gross Domestic Product of all the occupied Palestinian territories.
