The Government will make about 500 thousand home energy connections through the national grid and isolated systems, as well as electrify more than 77 administrative posts, as part of the expansion of access to energy.
The fact was revealed this Wednesday, in Maputo, by the Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, while giving information about different issues related to the country's political and socio-economic situation, in the National Assembly.
In his first speech in Parliament, as Prime Minister, Maleiane also made public that more than 15 water systems will be rehabilitated and expanded in the cities and towns, 24 of which in rural areas, and 23,000 home connections will be made in the cities and towns.
As for industry, the governor announced "the start-up of two feed mills, one in Zambezia province and another in Niassa.
In the social sphere, the PM informed the deputies that the Executive will conclude the construction of five district hospitals in Montepuez, Cabo Delgado; Sussundenga, in Manica; Buzi, in Sofala; Mopeia, in Zambezia province, Matutuine, in Maputo; as well as two general hospitals, one in Beira and another in Nampula.
"To that end, we must remain focused on peacekeeping and preventing and combating Covid-19, which are fundamental conditions for ensuring the effective implementation of the Economic and Social Plan and State Budget for 2022," he warned.
