Cegid announces another acquisition, this time of PHC Business Software

Cegid anuncia mais uma aquisição, desta vez é da PHC Business Software

French technology company Cegid, a Decentralized Computing Management company specializing in management software for accounting, finance and tax, payroll, human resources and retail professionals, recently announced the acquisition of PHC Business Software, a leading Portuguese company in the management software market for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)..

This is an operation through which Cegid, also present in Mozambique, strengthens its presence in the Iberian Peninsula and Lusophone Africa, expanding its offer to more than 170,000 users and 37,000 companies in Portugal, Africa and Spain.

According to Pascal Houillon, CEO of Cegid, the acquisition is part of the company's strategy to consolidate its position in the management software segment for SMEs, which is expanding strongly in Europe. "This acquisition strengthens Cegid's position as a leader in the Iberian region and in Europe in the SME segment. It will also allow us to integrate value-added technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, to better serve our customers," added Houillon, in a statement released by the company.

For his part, the founder of PHC, Ricardo Parreira, quoted in the same press release, highlighted the importance of this acquisition for the company's future. "When we reflected on our growth path, we knew that integrating an international company would be essential to take PHC to new heights," said Parreira.

This acquisition joins others recently made by Cegid, such as EBP (France), Microdata (Spain) and sevdesk (Germany). With a business model focused on the cloud, Cegid continues to expand internationally, supporting more than 750,000 customers in 130 countries.
