The Maputo City Judicial Court handed down judgment in the Summary Declaratory Action case, which had as Plaintiff Agostinho Zacarias Vuma and Defendant Silvestre Júlio Bila, regarding a traffic accident that took place on January 19, 2022, at around 12 noon, on Avenida 25 de Setembro, near Hotel VIP, involving Agostinho Vuma's car, Mercedes Benz, with the registration plate AHK 459 MP, and the Defendant's car..

According to a Visão newspaperAgostinho Vuma claimed that the accident was the result of the Defendant's fault and requested payment of 737,296.29 meticais for material damage to his vehicle, plus 368,648.14 meticais corresponding to the loss caused by the payment of the vehicle's insurance.

During the proceedings, the Defendant Silvestre Júlio Bila contested the initial petition, arguing that the cause of action was unintelligible, claiming that the documentary evidence submitted by the Plaintiff did not clarify the damage to the vehicle and that the invoice submitted did not describe the manner in which the damage occurred. However, the Court did not accept this exception, considering that the initial application clearly set out the grounds for the claim.

However, in the decision handed down by Judge Eza Carlota da Lúcia Matsinhe Mondlane, the claim by the plaintiff, Agostinho Zacarias Vuma, was dismissed and the defendant, Silvestre Júlio Bila, was acquitted.
