The Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) has received the authorization to start organizing internally the Confederation of African Football (CAF) level B and A courses, after fulfilling and submitting all the requirements for this purpose.
The CAF has informed the FMF that it has fulfilled the necessary conditions to join the new CAF Coaching Convention, which allows the FMF to start coaching courses to obtain the CAF B and A License. For six years, Mozambique had only been providing D and C level courses.
However, the trainings cannot start without an assessment of technical and administrative skills. Therefore, CAF will send two specialists (instructors) to Maputo for this purpose.
The conditions for approval were as follows:
- Signing of the application to the Convention;
- Sending the required documents, in the 8 criteria of the Convention;
- Requesting a higher level course; and
- Course organization after CAF approval.
The CAF's evaluation of the dossier submitted by the FMF focused on the number of hours, the theoretical and practical content, the profile of the trainers and participants, and the teaching methodology based on interactivity and teaching under real working conditions.
Mozambique thus joins countries such as Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria that have already joined the new CAF coaches convention.
