BP announces profits of more than 10 million dollars

BP announced today that it made a profit of 10,010 million dollars up to June this year, after a loss of 11,127 million in the same period of 2022. The loss recorded up to June last year was due to BP's withdrawal from the capital of the Russian oil company Rosneft.

In a statement sent to the London Stock Exchange, the British oil company also said that it made a profit of 1,792 million dollars between April and June this year, 78.1% less than in the previous quarter - January to March - due to the fall in oil prices.

It also indicates that its pre-tax profit reached 15,341 million dollars in the first half of this year, compared to a gross loss of 3,477 million dollars in the same period last year.

Revenues, meanwhile, reached 106,430 million dollars by June this year, down 11.8% on the first half of last year. (sapo)
