BdM: Exports of goods earned Mozambique 636.1 M$ in March this year

BdM: Exportações de bens renderam a Moçambique 636,1 M$ em Março deste ano

Sales of goods by the Mozambican economy to the rest of the world earned the country 636.1 million dollars in March this year, an increase of 37.9 million dollars compared to the previous month.

The data is contained in the Monthly Summary of Statistical Information, released a few days ago by the Bank of Mozambique (BoM) and to which MZNews had access.

According to the report, the positive trend in export revenues is explained by the increase in sales of products exported by both major projects and the extractive industry, by 507 million dollars and 382.2 million dollars respectively.

During the period under review, "mineral coal, according to the BoM, doubled its balance by earning 207.7 million dollars compared to 103.9 million the previous month".

Meanwhile, capital goods recorded 14 million dollars in June, compared to 1.3 million in May.
