Banco Comércio e Investimentos (BCI) of Mozambique was awarded with the "Best Commercial Bank - Mozambique" and "Best Private Bank - Mozambique" prizes. These awards are given by the North American World Economic Magazine. It was announced on Tuesday by Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD), which ensures a majority stake in BCI.
World Economic Magazine's selection is based on information gathered independently from data provided by organizations, as well as using public information. The final decision results from the crossing of indicators such as market success, sustainability, business growth (sustainability and speed), innovation, among others.
Based in the USA, the North American publication promotes financial literacy and economic multipolarity in the global economy and international trade. Each year they award prizes recognizing the contribution of companies across the global financial ecosystem in terms of innovation, strategy, sustainability, compliance with global standards, and leadership.
Still this year, BCI was elected the "Best Bank in Mozambique" by the American magazine Global Finance.
