ADB prepares financing package worth 50 million dollars for Mozambique

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is open to financing various structuring projects in the country linked mainly to boosting the implementation of initiatives focused on agricultural production, poultry farming and completing the value chain of various products with potential for development.

César Tique, senior specialist for agriculture and rural development at the BAD, made the revelation in the city of Lichinga, where he is representing his institution at the First Investment Forum for Niassa Province.

The expert, quoted by the newspaper Notícias, stressed that the continental financial institution he represents is preparing a financing package worth 50 million dollars to ensure the implementation of activities relating to the second phase of the Pemba-Lichinga Integrated Corridor Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone Project (ZEPA), which covers the provinces of Niassa, Cabo Delgado and Zambézia.
