1st EU-Mozambique Investment Forum kicks off today

The first European Union-Mozambique Investment Forum kicks off today in Maputo, with the aim of boosting and diversifying trade between Mozambique and the European Union.

The first Mozambique - EU Investment Forum, which takes place under the theme "Creating business opportunities", will also explore ways of attracting quality investment under the Global Gateway.

"Stakeholders from the public and private sectors will analyze the numerous investment opportunities that Mozambique has to offer.

The implementation of reforms follows the significant potential of Mozambique's natural resources and its access to the territorial sea, which offers important advantages in the areas of transport and logistics," the event's organizers said in a statement.

The forum will also focus on adding value to "Made in Mozambique" products and industrialization.

In addition to the European Union delegation and the Mozambican government, it also involves the European and Mozambican Chambers of Commerce and the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX).

The forum will feature several speakers, both Mozambican and European, including the Portuguese Minister of Agriculture.
