Area 4: Filipe Nyusi directs today the launch of the floating LNG platform in South Korea

Mozambican government witnesses today, the launching of the floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) platform in South Korea, an event that will mark the beginning of its displacement to Area 4 of the Rovuma Basin.

Directed by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, the ceremony will take place in the South Korean city of Goeje, where the president will also participate in the baptism of the platform, at Samsung Heavy Industries' facilities, the infrastructure contractor.

The floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) platform is considered the first floating gas project to be installed in deep water and the first of its kind to be developed in Africa.
