Amelia Muendane urges AT employees to be incorruptible

The president of the tax authority of Mozambique (AT), requires the employees of that institution, to be incorruptible and ruthless in complying with the law, aiming to make the tax system more solid, robust and efficient.

The challenge was launched this Tuesday in Pemba, Cabo Delgado, by Amélia Muendane, president of the Autoridade Tributaria (Tax Authority), during the patenting ceremony of 32 of the 55 employees of that institution in the province.

On the occasion he challenged the patentees to have the spirit of responsibility, professionalism, and to serve as an inspiration to society in fulfilling the country's development agenda.

The secretary of state in the province of Cabo Delgado, António Supeia, recognized the contribution of the tax authority that aims to ensure the collection of revenue for the implementation of various activities of socio-economic development of the country and the province in particular.

António Supeia said he hopes to see the resumption in operation of the tax offices that were closed due to terrorism in the central and northern regions of the province.

Some officials patented this Tuesday, expressing their commitment to continue efforts aimed at raising more and more revenue for the state coffers.
