The Zambezi Valley Development Agency (Zambezi Agency) launched the fourth edition of the Catalytic Fund for Innovation and Demonstration (FCID) last Friday (14)..
The program, implemented by the Mozambican government in partnership with the World Bank, has funding of around 17 million dollars, aimed at strengthening the economic opportunities of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and large companies.
With the aim of stimulating job creation, the FCID, quoted by the newspaper Dossiers & FactsThe project is expected to support around 100 companies in the agribusiness, tourism and construction sectors, with a focus on the provinces of Manica, Sofala, Gaza and Inhambane.
The Catalytic Fund is a competitive, co-funding mechanism, managed by the Zambezi Agency, which favors demand-driven initiatives. The selection process is based on criteria that value job creation, strengthening women's economic empowerment and respect for environmental and social standards.
