The Zambezi Valley Development Agency has available about 700 million meticais, to support small and medium enterprises in the second edition of the catalytic fund, in the country.
The initiative is funded by the World Bank and aims to connect small producers and small and medium-sized enterprises to agricultural value chains, strengthening their knowledge and creating market opportunities.
The Secretary of State in Manica Edson Macuácua, encourages companies in the province to apply for funding, to allow them to integrate in the regional market and contribute to the development of Manica.
The interim coordinator of the catalytic fund, Gerson Nunes, referred that the initiative intends to improve the national companies' capacity to access the global market.
The representative of the Manica Business Council at the event Célia Ribeiro said that the catalytic fund is an opportunity to leverage companies.
The Catalytic Fund for Innovation and Demonstration covers the Zambezi Valley Region, including the Beira Corridor, Nacala Corridor and Maputo Corridor, in the Ponta de Ouro route.
