The South African government is willing to support Mozambique in the search for solutions to end the post-election tension that has been going on in the country for more than two months.
The South African president's special envoy to Mozambique, Sidney Mufamadi, expressed his willingness to do so, according to Rádio Moçambique.
"The discussions we had were long. We went into more detail to understand the nature of the issues or the problems in detail and to see what role countries like South Africa are expected to play in helping to find a peaceful solution to the problem, a sustainable solution," he said.
The Special Envoy of the President of South Africa was speaking this Friday in Maputo, after being received by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.
At the time, Sidney Mufamadi pointed to dialogue as a solution to put an end to the demonstrations taking place in Mozambique.
