Adriano Maleiane participates in the Commonwealth Summit

The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, attends tomorrow, in Kigali, Republic of Rwanda, the 26th Commonwealth Summit of Heads of State and Government, representing the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.

The Kigali Summit will take place on June 24-25 this year and will be attended by Heads of State and Governments from the 54 member countries that make up the Commonwealth.

The said event, which will be held under the motto "Towards a Common Future: Connecting, Innovating and Transforming", aims to discuss more sustainable and inclusive models for a common development centered on people and the environment; job creation for youth; building resilient health care systems; as well as building inclusive societies by bridging the digital divide, in the context of post-Covid-19 pandemic socio-economic recovery.

On this trip, Maleiane will be accompanied by a delegation that also includes the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel José Gonçalves; Mozambique's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Permanent Representative to the Commonwealth; and Mozambique's High Commissioner to Rwanda.
